RM 401 | A-12 | Christifideles Laici: The Lay Faithful and their Secular Character

Session A | 11:15 am – 12:15 pm

Errol Kissinger

In the footsteps of the Beloved Disciple, the layperson is called to transform secular society through living the faith in all aspects of life: in the family, socially and recreationally, in one’s occupation, etc. This workshop will examine the Apostolic Exhortation Christifideles Laici, which summarizes the work of the 1987 Synod on “The Vocation and the Mission of the Lay Faithful in the Church and in the World” as a detailed attempt to present a better theological framework for the role of the laity in the secular realm.

This workshop is also offered on Saturday at 11:15am as C-15.
