Institute 1: “Kerygmatic Witnesses: Saints Proclaiming Jesus in the Acts of the Apostles”
Following Jesus’ Ascension into heaven and the outpouring of Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the earliest Christians courageously proclaimed the Good News “in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts of the Apostles reveals women, men, and even entire households responded in faith, were baptized, and lived lives transformed by grace.

In this three-session Biblical Institute we will examine the major sermons of St. Peter, St. Stephen, and St. Paul in Acts to discover the content and form of their proclamation of the Gospel. An emphasis will be placed upon how we can adopt (and when necessary, adapt) their content and form to allow us to be successful evangelists in our world, inviting people into more intimate union with Christ and more complete communion with his Church.
