Kate McDonough Cominsky has been with Cathedral Corporation working with nonprofit, higher education and diocesan annual appeals since 2011. Previously, Ms. Cominsky spent nearly 30 years in higher education enrollment management, sales and marketing management with a Fortune 500 consumer products company, and educational advisory subcommittee work with U.S. Congressman Richard Hanna. Using her experience in higher education and corporate marketing, she has considerable insight into developing unique and creative communication plans for diocesan appeals that push beyond the norm of segmentation strategies of history and level of donor giving. She has presented at ICSC and national and international higher education conferences, nonprofit organizations, and teacher education consortiums.

Reverend Joe Creedon is pastor emeritus of Christ the King Parish in Kingston, Rhode Island. He recently retired after 48 years of priestly ministry, 31 years as pastor of the parish.Author of 14 Advent and Lenten daily meditation booklets, Father Creedon has spoken on stewardship in the Archdiocese of Southwark in London, United Kingdom, the Dioceses of Hartford, Connecticut, Portland, Maine, San Diego, California, and Corner Brook in Newfoundland, Canada. He is a sought-after presenter of Advent and Lenten Parish Missions. Father Creedon was ordained in Louvain, Belgium, in 1968 for the Diocese of Providence, Rhode Island. Along with his distinguished service as a pastor, his priestly ministry has included service as a part-time associate pastor, high school teacher and campus minister. In 1980 he spent a year-long sabbatical as a fellow in psychiatry and religion at the Menninger Clinic, then located in Topeka, Kansas. Father Creedon also served on the ICSC board of directors.

There are many fruits a stewardship parish will harvest when they keep a continual focus on the stewardship way of life, including increases in evangelizing disciples, vocations, spirituality, ministries and offertory, just to name a few! In this session, attendees will learn some methods for best producing these fruits and for utilizing the rewards in order to grow Christ’s kingdom.

Ms. Mila Glodava Currently director of stewardship and administration at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Denver, Colorado, Mila Glodava was director of communications and stewardship since 2014. She held the same position for more than 25 years at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Centennial, Colorado. Under her leadership, along with the pastor, Father Andrew Kemberling, St. Thomas More received numerous awards including Archbishop Thomas Murphy Award in 2007. In addition, working with Socio Pastoral Institute since 2002, Ms. Glodava, who is a native of the Philippines, and Father Kemberling introduced stewardship in her home country. In 2009, she and Father Kemberling co-authored a book entitled, Making Stewardship a Way of Life: A Complete Guide for Catholic Parishes, published by Our Sunday Visitor. In 1969, Ms. Glodava received a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Paul College, now a university, in Manila, Philippines. And in 2015, at 70 years of age, she earned a master’s degree in theology from Augustine Institute in Denver, Colorado. Before coming to the United States in 1972, Ms. Glodava taught English in a Catholic high school in Quezon, Philippines. She and her husband Mark, a former Peace Corps volunteer from New Jersey, have two children and three grandchildren.

Dan Conway is a leader in the field of mission advancement who has helped redefine the meaning of stewardship in the Catholic Church. Since 1979, Dan has worked with dozens of Catholic dioceses, seminaries, religious communities, parishes, and schools in the areas of planning, communications, stewardship education, and fundraising. He has served as chief development officer for Marian University and three Roman Catholic archdioceses (Louisville, Indianapolis, and Chicago), and has provided consulting leadership for diocesan capital stewardship campaigns throughout the United States. Dan has facilitated strategic planning for more than a dozen Catholic dioceses, religious communities, seminaries, colleges, and universities in the Midwest and South. Dan currently serves as senior vice president of GP Catholic Services, a company founded by the principals of GrahamPelton Consulting to provide professional services designed specifically for Catholic organizations. Dan also provides workshops for Catholic dioceses and seminaries in the United States and abroad. Dan writes a widely distributed monthly article, The Good Steward. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Saint Meinrad College, a master’s degree from Indiana University, and an MRE from Saint Meinrad School of Theology. He and his wife, Sharon, are members of Holy Trinity Parish in Louisville, Kentucky.

Prior to starting ROI Dataworks, she worked as vice president marketing strategy and analysis for a direct marketing agency in Chicago, Illinois. Her clients benefit from her variety of experiences in the direct marketing field. Ms. Dalsaso has worked with a vast number of industries, from Fortune 100 to small niche companies, including banks, airlines, universities and most notably nonprofits which include Catholic dioceses, Catholic Charities agencies, Redemptorists, AIDS Foundation, American Cancer Society, McCormick Foundation, and Humane Society. Data analytics is the cornerstone of Ms. Dalsaso’s success. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a master’s degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, specializing in revenue management / finite inventory analytics. She speaks about data at both national and regional DMA events and as an instructor for Database Marketing for the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association.

La Biblia nos habla de ciudades establecidas como refugio y santuarios donde se protegía la vida de quienes eran perseguidos acusados de crimen y que no habían sido probados culpables.  Este concepto ha sido practicado por milenia en contextos sociales donde existe la disponibilidad de un alma de Dios que actúa en defensa de aquel que necesita ser escuchado y respetado en vez de ser condenado sin antes conocer su historia.  En este taller exploraremos el contexto bíblico de las Ciudades de Refugio y analizaremos su expresión histórica cristiana, en la familia, en nuestra sociedad y en el presente.  Su relevancia es definitivamente importantísima para el inmigrante.  ¡No te la pierdas!

Ernesto Zamora, M. Div., es el capellán líder y coordinador de los servicios de duelo de un programa de hospicio donde sirve a pacientes y familias durante estas etapas cruciales de la vida.  Él tiene más de 15 años de servicio en estas ramas de apoyo y guía espiritual.  El señor Zamora también tiene experiencia ministerial en el sistema de las cárceles del condado, pastoral parroquial y en retiros y conferencias.  Al momento él enseña para la Universidad de Loyola Marymount en sus programas de extensión del Centro para la Religión y la Espiritualidad ofreciendo cursos en las diócesis de Las Vegas, Los Ángeles, Orange y San Bernardino.

El señor Zamora obtuvo su Maestría en Divinidad y su Certificado para el Ministerio de la Escuela Franciscana de Teología de la ciudad de Berkeley.  El magisterio y el ministerio a los sufrientes están al centro de los intereses ministeriales y espirituales de Ernesto Zamora.

Lupita Vital es de Jalisco México.  Ella tiene una gran experiencia en el ramo de la Catequesis, ha trabajado en este ministerio por los últimos 25 años.  Las diócesis en las que ha servido son las de Tabasco, Guadalajara, y San José, en California.

Lupita tiene diplomas de la Escuela Catequística Diocesana y el Instituto Bíblico Católico de Guadalajara, Jalisco México.  Además obtuvo un Diploma en Teología de la Universidad de Notre Dame, Indiana y de la Escuela Jesuita de Teología en Berkeley, CA.  Tiene un Certificado en Especialización en la Vida Pastoral, de la Universidad de Loyola en New Orleans.

En el año 2005 obtuvo su Maestría en Catequesis de la Universidad de Santa Clara, en Santa Clara, CA.  En 2007, la Santa Sede la distinguió con la cruz Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice.

Actualmente es la Directora del Apostolado Hispano para la Diócesis de San Jose California. En el año 2014 le otorgaron el premio “Allan Figueroa Deck, SJ” por una sobresaliente contribución a la Teología Hispana y a la Formación en el Liderazgo ministerial del Instituto Hispano de Berkeley y la Universidad de Santa Clara.

Ella ha escrito y publicado en la Editorial de Ligouri  reflexiones llamadas Un Nuevo Comienzo para Adviento y Navidad y para Cuaresma y Pascua. Escribió el libro de la editorial Loyola Press Un Año Lleno de Gracia 2016.  Actualmente escribe reflexiones dominicales para  LPI Ciclos de Fe.

Maruja H. Sedano es la directora del Departamento de Formación para los Ministerios en la Diócesis de San Bernardino, CA.  De 2002-2015 fue Directora la Oficina de Catequesis y Ministerio Juvenil en la Archidiócesis de Chicago.  Previamente fue directora asociada, responsable de Educación Religiosa de Adultos y del Instituto Bíblico en la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles, donde trabajo por 26 años desarrollando programas para la formación de catequistas, evangelizadores y animadores bíblicos.   Posee diplomas en Educación y Teología Pastoral; Maestría en Educación Religiosa de la Universidad de Fordham, NewYork. Su trabajo en catequesis tanto en español como en inglés la llevó a ser cofundadora de la Organización Nacional para Catequesis Hispana (NOCH), presidenta de la Conferencia Nacional de Líderes Catequéticos (NCCL) y miembro activo de la Comisión Catequética de los Obispos de Alta y Baja California.  Al presente sirve como secretaria de la Federación de Institutos Pastorales FIP.  Desde 1980 Maruja ha servido en diversos comités nacionales de la Conferencia Episcopal Católica de USA, entre ellos el Comité de Evangelización y Catequesis de la Conferencia Episcopal Católica de USA.  Maruja ha presentado numerosas charlas sobre diversos temas and congresos y conferencias de catequesis como Los Ángeles, Chicago, Boston, Houston, el Paso, Baltimore, Stockton, San Bernardino etc.
