Saturday Lunch Presenation

TERRIE BALDWIN

Director of Evangelization for the Diocese of Cleveland.

Terrie will be offering the lunch time presentation, “Identifying and Using Your Charisms!” Charisms are spiritual gifts given by God to each of us at Baptism. Each person has at least one.

Conference participants will each be provided a questionnaire at check-in for completion sometime before Saturday’s lunch time presentation. During our lunch break, Terrie’s presentation will provide guidance on discerning your own Charism(s) using your Charism inventory.

Saturday Featured Keynote

TIMOTHY O’MALLEY, PH.D.

Timothy O’Malley, Ph.D., is director of the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy and Associate Professor Specialist in the Department of Theology, where he teaches courses on preaching, catechesis, liturgical theology, and the Scriptures. He is a noted author and popular speaker across the country on topics ranging from liturgy, culture, vocations and catechetics.

During Dr. O’Malley’s keynote presentation, “Liturgy and the New Evangelization,” he will explain how the church’s liturgical rites function in such a way that they are to inform every aspect of our lives as we carry out the church’s mission of the New Evangelization. H | Off the Hook: God, Love, Dating and Marriage in a Hookup World

Offered in Sessions:  3*

*Youth & Young Adult Oriented Session

DR. TIMOTHY O’MALLEY

Director of the Center for Liturgy for the University of Notre Dame.

Hookup culture is about much more than the quest for pleasure. It offers an easy way out of real communication and lasting relationships. It also teaches us to treat each other as objects for personal satisfaction. Even those who reject the hookup culture can still be negatively affected by it and develop poor habits of relating to others. Tim will help us discover how God’s plan for love serves to heal the wounds of hookup culture and is a medicine for what ails our understanding of sex, romance, love, and marriage.
