Dio Lansing Assembly

BISHOP BOYEA

Bishop Earl Boyea was installed as Lansing’s fifth bishop of Lansing on April 29, 2008. The oldest of ten children, he was raised in Waterford, Michigan and studied at Sacred Heart Seminary High School and College and subsequently at the Pontifical North American College and Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 20, 1978.

FATHER MIKE SCHMITZ

Father Mike Schmitz has gained a national following for his inspiring and joy-filled preaching about the love of God and the call of Jesus Christ. A priest for the Diocese of Duluth, Minnesota, he directs Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the diocese and serves as chaplain for the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

JENNIFER FULWILER

Jennifer Fulwiler is a writer, speaker, radio show host, wife and mother of six children. Raised in a household without any faith, she had a profound epiphany as an adult that led to her entrance into the Catholic Church. In her pursuit to find the meaning of life, she discovered that true happiness sometimes requires losing it all.

DEACON LARRY ONEY

Deacon Larry Oney a permanent deacon for the Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans, serves at Divine Mercy Parish in Kenner, Louisiana. With a passion for lifting people up and sharing the faith, he leverages humor, joy, Scripture, love and personal insight to speak to people’s hearts and encourage them to live Spirit-filled lives.

FATHER JOE KRUPP

Father Joe Krupp was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lansing in 1997. In addition to serving as pastor of Sacred Heart parish in Hudson and St. Mary parish in Manitou Beach, Fr. Joe is a columnist for Faith Catholic Magazine, answering questions about the faith while infusing theology with humor. Fr. Joe will serve as emcee for the Assembly Gathering.

CRAIG POHL

Craig Pohl is the Director of the Office of New Evangelization for the Diocese of Lansing. He has been married to his wife, Allison, for eight years and they have five children. Their home parish is St. Mary, Westphalia. Craig has been involved in Catholic ministry in various capacities for more than 20 years and is known primarily for his passion in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. He is also one of the hosts of The Armchair Catholic podcast. A podcast for the everyday Catholic.
