B-10| Cultivating a Team for Rural Parishes

Joe Perdreauville

Cultivating a team for ministry is essential. Cultivating a team in a rural parish can be different than how it may be done in urban or suburban settings. This workshop will primarily focus on the team dynamics present in rural ministry settings. As leaders we can do a lot, and usually feel responsible to “do it all!” When we do try to do it all, it takes opportunity away from others to share their gifts. All people bring different gifts and talents and empowering your parishioners to engage in ministry using their strongest talents can benefit the whole parish. During our time together will look at ways to effectively recruit, train, empower and retain team members for your ministry in a rural parish.
