Analyzing the biblical passage on the story of Samaritan Woman from woman’s perspective, from which we shall see the process of discipleship through one’s encounter with Jesus.

This study invites us to think critically, thus leads to the truth claim of the biblical texts. We shall draw some spiritual implications from the story, which helps our spiritual growth.

通過從女性的角度分析這段聖經故事, 我們會發現耶穌門徒的陶成在與耶穌相遇的美好經驗中完成.同時也邀請我們批判性的思維以尋求並宣揚聖經中的真理. 從中我們會受到一些靈性生命方面的啟發並我們的靈性成長有所裨益.

Promising insights into the human mind and body have arisen from disciplines and methods outside the Cartesian context of the mind-body problem, and there is an increasing recognition that our body is intimately connected with our psyche and spiritual life. In this workshop, we will concretely explore an embodied experience, so as to utilize our body potentials to reconnect our inner self.

Spirituality of St. Ignatius and Pope Francis

聖依納爵及教宗方濟的靈修精神

教宗方濟各描述自己為“被主關顧的罪人”。他與天主的相會改變了他的人生，並且使他成為天主慈愛的一個見證人。正如教宗勸勵我們要提高我們在靈修上的靈敏度，本討論會將會向大家介紹一些依納爵靈修的理念和祈禱方法，好能＂在萬物中尋找天主＂。在這一刻與每一刻都與主相會中，讓他的慈愛首先充滿了我們，然後溢出給其他人和整個世界。

Pope Francis described himself as “a sinner who is looked upon by the Lord”.  His personal encounter with God changed his life and made him a witness of God’s merciful love.  As Pope Francis encouraged us to enhance our spiritual sensitivity, this session will introduce some ideas and prayers in Ignatian Spirituality, so that we can “Find God in All Things”.  In the moment by moment encounter with God, let His merciful love first fills us up, then further overflows to others and the world.

The essence of the Church is evangelization. Only with evangelization, our community and our Church can continue to grow. This growth is not just viewed as increase of church members, but also is a growth of faith and spirituality of the community. Therefore, a community focusing on evangelization is always a healthy community.

Facing many challenges and obstacles in the contemporary world, how can we, as the Catholic Chinese Communities in the Bay Area, overcome these barriers and difficulties and how can we enkindle the fire of Evangelization in our communities, especially, to bring the Good News to Chinese immigrants?

福傳是教會的本質。只有在福傳中我們的教會、團體才可成長。 這成長不僅限於團體人數增加，也是我們信德的加深與靈修的豐富。 福傳的團體才是健康的團體。面對在現代世俗中對福傳的種種阻礙， 我們如何在個人生命中，在我們團體中燃起福傳的火焰。 如何在美國特定的環境中， 福傳於華人移民。
