Ron Bolster is the former director of the Office of Catechetics at Franciscan University. He served the Diocese of Peoria before joining the catechetics faculty at Franciscan in 2004. He holds an MA in theology with catechetical certification from Franciscan and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He serves on the confirmation team for the parishes of the City of Steubenville and has experience in RCIA, the Neocatechumenal Way, and catechist training. He is co-author of Ascension Press’ Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation program. Ron and his wife, Andrea, reside with their eight children in Steubenville.

Amy Roberts taught high school for 13 years and served as chair of the religion department for 10 years before accepting a teaching position with the catechetics faculty of Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2011. She also previously assisted Aquinas College with catechist training and taught adult faith formation classes for the Diocese of Knoxville. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master’s degree in theology and Christian ministry from Franciscan University. Amy is currently pursuing doctoral studies through The University of Notre Dame Australia and regularly speaks to Catholic school teachers.

Martha Drennan is the director of Faith Formation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, a 4,000-family parish in Springfield, Virginia. She directs ongoing parish faith formation and sacramental preparation for over 500 students. This includes an RCIC process for over 60 students. Additionally, she forms a team of over 75 catechists for the parish. She graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1998 with a master of arts degree in theology and Christian ministry, specializing in catechetics. She is currently a candidate in a doctor of ministry program at The Catholic University of America.

Gary Norris has led RCIA teams for the past 25 years in the Archdiocese of Denver, the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He studied theology and catechetics at the Maryvale Institute and has certification in RCIA from the St. John Bosco Conference. Gary is a currently the chairman of the Association of Catechumenal Ministry and serves ACM as a presenter for team training and catechist training. Gary works with his wife, Patty, together coordinating the St. John Bosco RCIA track for the past 10 years. They have 6 children and 11 grandchildren.

Gina Bauer is a dynamic presenter, with 25 years of experience serving the Church as a youth director, religious educator, and speaker. Gina is able to convey Catholic teachings in a compassionate, down-to-earth style that reaches the hearts of listeners, equipping them with practical tools to live holy lives in today’s culture. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her master’s in theological studies from the University of Dallas Institute for Religious and Pastoral Studies. Gina currently works at St. Joseph in West St. Paul. She and her husband, Duane, have four children.

Dr. Eric J. Westby is an assistant professor of theology and catechetics at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He completed his doctoral studies at the Maryvale Institute of Birmingham, England, offering a critique of seminary formation in light of priestly catechetical ministry. He holds a master of arts degree in theology and Christian ministry from Franciscan University, from where he was the first student to complete the certification in catechetics. He has been involved in parish catechetics since 1988 and is the founder of ymcentral.com and rciacentral.com. More importantly, he is husband to Nikki and father of five girls.

Dr. Chris Burgwald was born and raised in a small town in central Minnesota. While he was raised as a Catholic, he stopped practicing his faith in college until a “chance” encounter his junior year brought him back to the faith. The flame that was ignited then ultimately led him to doctoral studies in theology and an adult life spent deepening his own faith, sharing it with others, and equipping other Catholics to do the same. Chris and his wife, Germaine, and their five children live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where Chris has served the Diocese of Sioux Falls as the director of Adult Discipleship and Evangelization since 2002.

Ryan Hanning teaches theology, church history, and Catholic studies and writes and speaks internationally on modern objections to religious faith. He serves as the assistant vice president and director of Cultural Advancement at the University of Mary Tempe, where he is also a faculty member in the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education. He is a certified presenter for Havard Virtuous Leadership Institute, a faculty member for the Kino Catechetical Institute, and a fellow of the Institute for Catholic Theology. He holds degrees from Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University and a PhD from Maryvale Institute in England. Ryan currently resides in Mesa, Arizona, with his wife, Rebecca, and their nine home-schooled children.

Michael Hall is the director of Ministry Training and Program Development for Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO), a university student movement dedicated to evangelization serving on campuses across Canada, and has been a missionary with CCO since 2003. Michael lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with his wife, Amy, and their four children.

Sister M. Johanna Paruch, FSGM, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, holds a BA in theology and elementary education from St. Louis University, a pontifical catechetical diploma, an MA in religious education from the Angelicum, and a PhD in theology from Maryvale Institute, Birmingham, England. Sister Johanna has been involved in religious education for over 40 years. She currently serves as an associate professor of theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, specializing in catechetics. Her first publication, Mentors in the New Evangelization: Catechetical Saints of North America, became available in 2013.
