The Spirituality of Money
Much can be said about giving a portion back to God in thanksgiving for what He has done; that portion is called the “tithe.” Gratitude of the heart instills the kind of humility where Jesus enters our heart. The living biblical truth of tithing asks us to put our money where our mouth is. We cannot just say we are grateful; we have to prove it. Our heart has to be in it or we will be no better than the Pharisees. Father Andrew Kemberling will teach about the rich biblical tradition about tithing and generosity that needs to be taught in our Church in a way that reconciles the Old and the New Testaments.
