Fr. John Jirak
Pastor, Church of the Magdalen

“The next chapter of any thriving stewardship parish is the discipling of stewards with a personal, passionate relationship with Jesus, which Pope Francis invites each one of us daily: ‘a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them.’”

Fr. John Jirak is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, Kansas. He attended Fort Hays State University where he received a B.S. in Agribusiness in 1996 and graduated from Conception Seminary College in 1998. He attended major seminary at the Pontifical College Josephinum where he received a master’s degree in Dogmatic Theology. He was ordained a priest in 2002. Fr. Jirak serves as Pastor of Church of the Magdalen, as Diocesan Tribunal as a Judge and is Chaplain of the Latin Mass Community in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. He is the spiritual director of the Diocesan House of Formation.

Fr. Jirak has a passion for the New Evangelization and the Stewardship Way of Life. As pastor of Blessed Sacrament, the parish received the 2015 Archbishop Thomas J.
