Breakout Session 3

Sunday 10:15 am

Edward Sri (Arena)

No Greater Love

Christ’s Passion is the climax of the Christian story, what St. John Paul II once called the fullest revelation of God’s love for us. It is also the fullest revelation of what we’re called to in marriage, within our families, in the workplace, in our parishes, and in the wider community. How do we conform our daily lives to the cross? Learn how to find your life’s story in Christ’s story.

Amanda Zurface (Hall B)

Proclaiming God’s Glory to Children in a Pornographic Culture

The earth is filled with the glory of God. God’s deeds are wondrous and are to be proclaimed to every nation and people. This includes his designs and will for man and woman. God has created us for more—more beauty, more virtue, to share more and more in God’s glory. A life that includes pornography offers less and less—less beauty, less virtue, less glory, less freedom. God desires us to truly know we are made for more and to then pass this knowledge and understanding onto our children. Here you will learn how to confidently guide your children to say no to porn and at the same time form them in a better understanding of God’s glory and designs for them to pass onto their peers.

Avera Marie-Santo (Prairie Rose Rooms)

The Lonely and Loved:
Why Church teaching on Homosexuality
is Worth Believing

“Yeah, the Catechism says you shouldn’t act on homosexual desires, but does anyone really believe that?” In this talk, Avera shares how she came to understand Church teaching on same-sex attractions, and why it sets people like her free

Janette Howe – Seven Sisters Apostolate (Spruce, Pine, Oak & Maple Rooms)

Holy Hours for Priests:
Persevering in JOY!

St John Vianney is patron of all priests and one of the tripatrons of a vibrant international Apostolate, Seven Sisters, that prays for priests. He reminds, “We should consider those moments spent before the Blessed Sacrament as the happiest of our lives.” Come find out why and how to overcome distractions during prayer to persevere in the joy set before!

Behold the Woman:
Choosing to See How Christ Sees Me
Instead of How the World Sees Me

Hear the testimony of a 22-year-old young woman who is a practicing Catholic that also experiences same-sex attractions. She explains why she chose to look at herself through God’s eyes, and not those of the LGBTQ+ Community.

Kendra Tierney (Hall C)

The Apostolate of Parties:
Evangelizing within our Communities

Liturgical living in the home is experiencing a renaissance, which is a wonderful thing. But the feasts and fasts of the Church are actually meant to be observed in community. Learn ways to bring Catholic traditions to your parish, and your school, and your dinner parties. The more the merrier!

Janette Howe – Seven Sisters Apostolate (Spruce, Pine, Oak & Maple Rooms)

Praying for Priests:
Obligation seen Privilege!

Every Catholic is obliged to pray for our priests. In the truest sense, this obligation is a supreme privilege. Learn of Seven Sisters Apostolate that takes this to heart. Each member offers one holy hour once a week for one priest. Groups are currently active in six continents.
