Sheryl and her husband, Tom live in Hopkins Michigan. They are active parishioners in the North Allegan Collaborative of Sacred Heart, St. Stanislaus and St. Mary’s Visitation. Sheryl comes to St. Therese with a wide ranging background in education and experience in both public and Catholic Schools. Sheryl has her Masters in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. When not at school, Sheryl is most likely studying with Tom as he enters his candidacy year of formation for the diaconate. Sheryl is looking forward to growing with St. Therese.

Steve Urbanski
Steve Urbanski has served as a K-12 educator in Michigan for 34 years. Steve began his career as a high school science teacher and then transitioned into to K-12 school administration where he worked for twenty-six years in middle school assistant principal and principal roles for three school districts. Steve currently serves as a High Impact Leadership Facilitator for the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District, working with teachers and principals in Northwest Michigan area school districts.
Ashley Troy
Ashley has been an elementary literacy consultant at Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District for the past seven years. Prior to that, she taught third and fourth grades, was a reading interventionist and literacy coach in Traverse City.
Beth Schlosser
Beth is the principal of St. Mary’s Visitation School in Byron Center. She has more than 15 years of educational experience. Twelve of those years have been dedicated to Catholic education. She earned her Masters degree from Grand Valley State University. She has a school administrator certificate from the State of Michigan, as well as a professional teaching certificate. She holds an advanced catechist certificate through the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
Lorri Batsie
Lorri is beginning her third year at Hackett as the Library Media Specialist, Instructional Technologist, AP Computer Science and App Development Teacher, and Robotics Coach. Previously, she taught Computer Applications for 9 years at Washington Middle School (Missouri), served on the 1:1 and Learning Management System focus groups, and provided professional development and coaching for various Michigan schools through KRESA and REMC. Charles Heidelberg
Charles is currently a history teacher at Hackett Catholic Prep. He has 9 years experience as a middle school teacher and K-8 administrator.
Mary Smith
Mary, a 43-year veteran educator, began her role as a Social Studies/English teacher and Reading Specialist, migrating to Career-Technical Education as, first, an academic English teacher, then an Instructional Coordinator, and then an administrator in charge of Curriculum and Instruction. Mary retired in 2015 after 35 years in education, only to be rehired as a Leadership Facilitator. In the 2018-19 year, Mary supported teachers and administrators in a local district within TBAISD.
Lori Pearson
Lori has been the principal for St. Rose of Lima School since 2015. Prior to that, she was a teacher and assistant principal for St. Augustine Cathedral School and a teacher for St. Mary in Paw Paw. She is committed to catholic education with the diocese!
Sarah Neumann
Sarah has spent 21 years as an educator in Kalamazoo County, and currently serves as the Instructional Services Coordinator for KRESA. Prior to coming to KRESA, she spent 11 years as an elementary principal in Parchment, as well as 6 years as the Director of Curriculum and State & Federal Programs. She began her career in education as a Preschool Teacher, and subsequently taught both Kindergarten and First Grade before working as an adjunct professor for preservice teachers at Western Michigan University, and for graduate students majoring in Educational Leadership at Concordia University.
Jillian Kellough
Jillian has served as the Associate Superintendent of Schools/Curriculum Director for the Diocese of Kalamazoo since January of 2018. Her experience and research in the field of educational study includes: adult learning theories, assessments in education, and professional development. Jillian is a certified teacher, whose previous teaching experience includes working within both the public and private school sector, including three years at St. Margaret School in Otsego.
