Instructions

Each item on this list can be found somewhere on the campus of Franciscan University of Steubenville. Find the items below and perform the noted tasks to earn prizes. Make sure to save all the items you collect, as you will have to present them to the Conference Staff at the “Prize Table” (located under the white tent in the Rosary Circle) to get your prizes!

Supplies Needed:  A camera. Don’t have a camera? Find someone who does!  Alternatively, grab a pen and paper. Have fun!

Bonus

Get a photo with a conference worker who has been working the Steubenville Conferences on Main Campus for two or more summers. Don’t have a camera? Write down their name, where they are from, how many summers they have worked, and their favorite part about the Steubenville Conferences AND Franciscan University.

Clues

  1. Get a photo with your friends at the photo booth. Save it so you can collect your prize!
  2. Find a conference worker in a black conference shirt and take a photo with them. Don’t have a camera? Write down their name, where they are from, and their favorite part about working the Steubenville Conferences. (BTW, the workers at the “Prize Tent” don’t count!)
  3. Go to the Tomb of the Unborn Child and say a decade of the rosary for the end of abortion. Take a picture of the tomb. Don’t have a camera? Write down the inscription on the tomb.
  4. Find a statue of St. Francis and take a picture with him. Don’t have a camera? Make a Tau cross from materials around you. Don’t know what a Tau cross is? Ask someone! Make a new friend!
  5. Great job! Go to the white tent located in the Rosary Circle and show the staff the pictures/things you collected to get your first prize!
  6. Locate the Bible verse for this year’s “Revealed” conference theme and memorize it.
  7. Find someone who has attended Franciscan LEAD. Ask them to explain what Franciscan LEAD is and what their favorite part of the week was. Listen carefully because you will have to explain this to the staff at the “Prize Table” to get your bonus prize.
  8. Great job! Go back to the tent located in the Rosary Circle. Recite to them the Bible verse for this year’s conference theme from memory as well as explain what LEAD week is to collect your second prize.
  9. Introduce yourself to someone in another group and get a picture with them. Don’t have a camera? Write down their name, where they are from, and their favorite part of the conference so far! (BTW, a conference worker doesn’t count!)
  10. Get a picture with a conference worker in the photo booth, using the props available. Don’t forget to save the picture!
  11. Amazing! You completed “the Hunt”! Go back to the tent and collect your final prize!

Lost & Found 

If you lost any belongings during the conference, please visit the Information Desk located in the J.C. William’s Center or call (740) 283-3771. Items that are not claimed within two weeks of the conference will be forfeited.

Housing Lockdown

Make sure to take everything that you will need for the day with you when you leave for breakfast or the Morning Session, as all dorms (including Assisi Heights) will be closed at 8:30 a.m, and will not open again until after the evening session.

You will not be permitted to enter the dorms/heights during the day.

Sunday Small Group Discussion (maybe for the ride home)

Sunday Morning Keynote Scripture: Luke 24: 13-35 (Road to Emmaus)

  1. What is one thing you can do to foster your relationship with Christ after the conference and every day?
  2. How can Christ be a part of your everyday activities?
  3. Why is it important to pray every day? How will you strive to pray every day?
  4. How will you stay connected with youth group, friends, community who are striving to live as followers of Christ?
  5. How can you share your faith with others?
  6. What are some ways you can serve Christ and reveal His love to others?
  7. Who is the Holy Spirit and why is it important to have a relationship with Him?
  8. How can you pray for more of the Holy Spirit in your life?
  9. In what areas of your life do you most need the Holy Spirit to help you and be with you?
  10. If you could ask the Holy Spirit for two things to be a better disciple, what would they be?
  11. What did your experience at this conference show you about God’s love and His plan for our life?
  12. What are some challenges you are going to face in going home?
  13. What will you do if you struggle to live your life in Christ or the circumstances at home make it challenging to live your faith?
  14. How can you bring this conference experience back to your parish, youth group, high school, family, etc.?
  15. What did you hear this weekend that gives you hope for going back home today?

Continue to ask questions based on what you know about each of the youth in your small group and how they experienced this weekend conference.
