Franciscan LEAD Participants

How to Prepare for Franciscan LEAD

  1.      Daily Prayer

“Not by might, not by power but by my spirit says the Lord”( Zech. 4:6). Start by praying at least 10 minutes daily for your time with Franciscan LEAD. Find 10 people who will pray for you daily during your Franciscan LEAD week.

  1.       Prepare your mind

It is important that the Word of God is in our hearts and on our lips. Please memorize the Scripture verses below before arriving at your LEAD week.

  1.       Attitude is Everything

Being a leader includes leading by word and deed. The example you set and the words you use will have a huge impact. Start preparing now by focusing on Jesus in the midst of the good times and the hard times of your daily life.

Are you ready for the Challenge?!

Being chosen as a Franciscan LEAD participant is about answering a call to be challenged! This calls you to a level of responsibility. You have been chosen because you are a leader, you’re committed to growing in your faith, and you have a desire to evangelize. Be responsible! Please make sure to get your paperwork in on time and follow the guidelines for preparation, including memorizing the following Scripture verses:

Monday: We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Tuesday: Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence. (1 Peter 3:15)

Wednesday: Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. (Rom. 12:2)

Thursday: A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Friday: Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. (Phil. 4:6)
